Weekly lesson: begin with a single intention
Every week, a short lesson to carry into your days. This week's is an invitation to do less, and go deeper. On Sunday night, the temptation is to build a list of goals for the week. Try the opposite: choose a single intention.
Why just one
A list of ten goals splits your attention ten ways. One intention gathers it. This is not about getting everything done, it is about setting a tone for the week. "I want to slow down." "I want to be kinder to myself." "I want to be present." One simple line you can remember in the middle of a busy day.
How to choose yours
Ask yourself a question: what do I most need this week? Not what you should do, but what would let you breathe more easily. The answer is usually small and honest. Write it in one line. If it comes as a gentle verb ("rest," "trust," "let go"), even better.
How to keep it until Sunday
Attach the intention to something you already see every day: your phone screen, the mirror, the first cup. Midweek, pause for a moment and ask: have I been living this? No pressure, just a gentle nudge back on course. On Sunday, look back kindly, and choose the next one.
