An astrology app with no AI reading your journal

A journal is one of the most intimate places there is. It is where we write what we do not say out loud. So it is worth asking a simple question almost nobody asks before downloading an app: who reads what I write in here?

What many apps do with your text

Several popular apps today use AI to read, summarise and "interpret" what you write, and to cross it with your birth chart. It can look like a nice feature. But it means your text leaves your phone, goes to a server, and passes through systems you do not control. In some cases that content can even help train models. For a journal, that is a lot.

Oluvani's choice: no AI on what is yours

Oluvani does the opposite, on purpose:

1. Your journal stays on your phone. What you write does not go to our server. You can export it and take it with you, and cancelling never erases your history.
2. No AI reads or analyses what you write. No auto-summary, no machine interpretation, no chatbot. Your text is yours alone.
3. No account, no data collection. Oluvani does not ask for your phone number or a social login. We cannot use what we never collect.

Honesty about the AI we do use

To be fair: Oluvani does use AI, in producing part of the audio for the readings and rituals, and that is reviewed by people. We say so clearly. The difference that matters is not "AI or no AI somewhere". It is that no AI is pointed at you: nothing reads your journal, nothing chats with you pretending to be human, and nothing you write trains anything.

In the end, it is about trust. Looking after yourself should be a safe space, not one more place where you are watched. That is why Oluvani is built this way.
